Introductory Visit
This is a meeting in a public place to give us a chance to talk in detail about what to expect and your early preferences for prenatal care and how you envision your birth. I will ask about your knowledge of the birth process, and can provide information and resources as needed or desired. I will want to know how you and your partner foresee working together and the roles of others attending the birth. We can discuss what fears and concerns you have regarding birth and how you receive care. My role is to help you have a peaceful and satisfying birth as you define it, by encouraging, educating, and supporting. The more we talk about this in advance, the better I will be able to fulfill that role. free
General Visit
(2 hours) More prenatal visits can be added as need arises. As a doula, I can provide you and your partner with information for your own prenatal care however you deem necessary. We will also use this time to further discuss your birth preferences and provide information and resources as needed and desired. I will bring a little prenatal gift each visit such as an herbal tea blend, baby shower gift or baked good, ect. $50 per visit
Postpartum Meal Prep Day
We will talk about your food preferences, allergies, favorite recipes, and easy meal ideas for you on this visit. We can plan a day to go grocery shopping together, or if you already have everything you need, I can help organize and restock your fridge and pantry. Then I will prep, cook, and freeze meals and do any baking you want. $150
Birth Planning Day
Once you are closer to your due date, we will have a final day of preparing that will include your complete birth plan and walking through birth visualization exercises. If you are desiring one, we will put together a music playlist that you can labor to. We will have a discussion about your birth preferences and do a final comfort measure and labor position practice. We can also make final preparations of your birth space/hospital bag and go over where supplies are located as well as their purposes. $100
* The non-refundable $500 birth support fee will be paid on week 37. This includes the 2 hours of postpartum care immediately following the birth.
