I have wanted to be in this field ever since I was seven years old, when my mom had one of my younger siblings. I didn’t like to see her in pain or anyone mistreat her, so when I watched how caring the midwife and doula were for her, I knew that’s what I wanted to be when I grew up. I have always loved children and the journey to bring them into this world.
Being part of a large family, I learned to take care of young ones from a young age. I find joy in serving others and bringing comfort to them. Over the last couple of years I have stayed with different people after they had their little ones, keeping the house running and taking care of their other children as they went through postpartum.
I take special care to make sure I am attentive to the mother’s desires and preferences and to stand behind her in the decisions she makes. I am a Christian young lady with a desire to bring glory to God and to encourage, educate, and support mothers and their partners in each their unique journey to bring their babies into this world.
